I bought a Lego Mommy for my boys last summer when I thought I would be deploying for a year to take silly photo ops to send back home to them, and when I ended up not deploying I kept her on top of one of my Lego wall cases. What's a Lego Mommy? It's exactly what it sounds like, a Lego that looks like Mommy. For mine I ordered a girl Lego, and bought jeans, a brunette ponytail, and a camera for her on eBay, and a gas station/roadster for her from Toys R Us. there was too much pink in there for her to be just like Mommy so I switched out some bricks with some of the boy's extra pieces. Next step? Have her do whatever Mommy did!
All packed up and ready to go!
Stopping for gas at South of the Border
I don't take leave very often, so I took advantage of my being out of town to have my kitchen remodeled. My friends redoing my kitchen saw my Lego Mommy pictures on Facebook and got in on the fun too!
Why is that Lego smashing a toilet in my kitchen??
20hrs and a shit ton of traffic later....
Our first day in North Fort Myers we visited the "World Famous" Shell Factory for photo ops galore!
Later on our visit his dad took us out on his airboat to go look for gators on Lake Okeechobee.
We also tried to go manatee watching but the water in the Gulf of Mexico was still too warm for them to move into Florida waters so Lego Mommy took a photo in front of the statues.
Our first day in Florida was the dude's birthday, so of course in keeping with the Lego theme I made him a special birthday cake the night before our roadtrip and packed it in a cooler...
